In this lively outdoor still life, a group of very serious Russian novels — Nabokov, Dostoevsky, and Bulgakov — try to enjoy the sunshine while surrounded by distractions:
an open chess match nobody’s winning, a curious dog with zero table manners, and a smug cat wearing a ribbon that may (or may not) contain a top-secret message.

There’s also a suspicious number of sardine cans, some proper British beer, and a vintage Greek coin that absolutely doesn’t belong here (but insists on staying). Oh, and a forgotten musical score from Our House is trying to catch the wind.

A painting for book lovers, picnic rebels, and anyone who enjoys a bit of visual mischief. Every object has its own agenda — and none of them are behaving.

Ready to hang in your home, and possibly start arguments between your houseplants and your bookshelf.

One of a kind.
